Tide Is Turning

Happy Autumn! It’s been a while since the last newsletter and before we dive in....can you believe that it’s Fall already? Can you believe that we are still dealing with a pandemic? If you think back to October 2019, did you ever think or fathom the world would be going through the madness that we’ve gone through? If you haven’t taken a moment to simply reflect on where you have been, where you are right now, and thank God that you are still here on this earth, breathing, and living...do it right now! Seriously, the last year and a half have been unlike any other. Over the course of the year, people from every walk of life have dealt with a lot. Many people lost loved ones, many people had to deal with the economic and financial hits to their businesses, many people dealt with intensified mental health challenges and anxieties. However, as the tide continues to turn for the better, many of us are coming out stronger, clearer, and appreciating the little things a little more. I have to admit there were moments where I struggled with keeping my mental clarity in check. There were moments I did not want to get out of bed in the morning, or even talk to anyone. During those days, a loud voice screamed in my head “Get up”. To be completely honest, even if I wanted to lay in bed all day and succumb to the thoughts and fears trying to grip my mind, I still had a family to think about. Ultimately, I took time for myself and did a bit of soul searching, praying, and took intentional steps to get reacquainted with the internal and intimate part of me, and to put it plainly “get it together”. I challenge you to be intentional about your life, take time to check in with yourself. The world around you may be rushing to get back to normal, but that is gone. For many how we see, interact, and approach life is not the same and that is okay. I challenge you to trust God and yourself and rise to the occasion in every area of your life. Do it while you are here in the land of the living, and simply because you can

The mere act of showing up for yourself each day will begin to shift the world in your favor
